The plain
arrangement.
Last updated: 5 May 2026
Halia is a thirty-day skin-and-self ritual. These are the plain arrangements for using it. If you don't agree, please don't use Halia.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least seventeen years old. By creating an account you confirm that you are.
2. Your account
You're responsible for the credentials you use — usually your Apple ID or Google account. We use Clerk for authentication and never see OAuth tokens or passwords in plain text. Halia is for personal use only.
3. What Halia does, and what it doesn't
Halia takes three quiet portraits and a few soft inputs and writes you a literary commentary, a Beauty Dossier, a thirty-day plan, a Sunday note, and a Day-30 reflection.
Halia is guidance, not medicine. Nothing in the app diagnoses, treats, prevents, or cures any condition. Halia does not replace a dermatologist or doctor. If something hurts or worries you, please see one.
4. AI-generated content
Halia uses Anthropic's Claude model to read your photos and write the commentary. The text in your reading, Beauty Dossier, plan, Sunday note, and Day-30 reveal is AI-generated in Halia's voice. Wardrobe, inspiration, outfit, and product reads are also AI-generated. You'll see a small ai mark beside anything written this way.
5. Subscriptions
Your first reading is free. Membership unlocks the Beauty Dossier, thirty-day plan, wardrobe scans, share-card exports, Sunday notes, Day-30 reveal, and continued readings. Billing continues at the tier you chose — Monthly £9.99 or Annual £59.99.
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.
6. Your content, your photos
The portraits you take and the words you write are yours. To make Halia work, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store and process your content for the service. We do not use your content to train AI, advertise, or sell. When you delete your account, this licence ends and your content is removed (after a thirty-day grace).
7. Things you should not do
· Reverse-engineer the app.
· Use Halia to harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
· Upload photos of others without explicit consent.
· Upload illegal content.
· Evade rate limits or chargeback in bad faith.
· Violate the App Store's rules.
8. Apple-specific terms
Halia uses Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement where it applies. These Terms add product-specific rules for Halia's AI guidance, account content, and subscription access. These Terms are between you and Halia (publisher), not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support. Apple is a third-party beneficiary and may enforce these Terms. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, who will refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation.
9. Intellectual property
Halia, the name, the editorial voice, the cream-and-wine palette, the typographic system, the icons, illustrations, and source code belong to the publisher. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose.
10. Disclaimers and limits
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits — in those, our liability is limited to the minimum permitted.
11. Changes
Material changes get an in-app notice and (if we have your email) a message at least seven days before they take effect.
12. Termination
You may stop and delete from Settings any time. We may suspend accounts for breach of §7, fraud, or non-payment.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
